Yeah, my friend got some cute things for her bridal shower- heart shaped bowls, heart shaped ice cube makers, streamers, and other decorative touches to add to the party. What a cute idea!

Been there, done that. Already stocked for a June wedding. Bride choose red and hearts. I found clear heart shaped tea lights, tiny red hearts to sprinkle on the tables. Also found satin boxes for my favors. After a any holiday, I shop for ideas for party planning and even weddings. Have saved lots $$$.

yep, and Easter is great for spring coloured candies and Christmas for white decor lights or decorations for Christmas time weddings. I always think its great to plan ahead. the local candy shop near my home was selling big bags of valentines candy for $1 each. its great.

Doing that for now and easter stuff. I work at target and get an extra discount on top of the already clearanced items. Super exciting! lol. Easter will be jackpot time for me, all my colors are the lighter colors, not quite pastel, but close.

i am a firm believer in after holiday shopping for my wedding!!!
i got my candy to fill my favors at walmart (under $2.00 a bag and i only needed about 4 bags total)

Thanks great idea. I am planning on using discounted Easter candy. Especially because it will match my Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme.
BTW l_sarmento I could use that good Target discount (lol) I found a lot of un-cented candles that they sell in bulk online. Smiles =)

I stock up on stuff and don’t even know when I will use it sometimes…lights, candles, etc…sometimes my husband looks at me like I am crazy but sometimes I really surprise him with stuff for a special treat…he loves it!
Besides buying retail, you can pick up brand new items at yard sales and thrift stores some times…NO ONE has to know ‘where’ it came from! lol

yes, I was there yesterday at WalMart – bought a TON of stuff for $58.11 for my friends wedding next weekend. It was planned with a Red & White color scheme for just this reason. Someone with a Spring wedding could do the same right after Easter and buy up all the pastel stuff

My niece did that, for her September wedding even! They bought heart shaped candy boxes and stored them in a cold place so they would still be good. Also, rose petals and things like that are in the half priced valentine aisle. Stock up!
