I gave candles as my wedding favors. I bought candles from Target (they also sell them pretty cheap on the wedding websites) and the bought clear labels to place on them that said Thanks for sharing in our special day. K & S 03/01/08. Everyone loved them. Other people may think I am cheap, I just didn’t have a lot of money, but we used them on the reception table as part of the decorations. I had a piece of black satin material with rose petals sprinkled around it and 3 of these candles in the center. Everyone that attended the wedding thought it was a great idea and a great way to say money too!

It depends on what you had in mind and when you’re getting married. We bought small bags, filled them with Australian cookies (where I’m from), and tied them with a string and a note on each one. Or you could make and decorate sugar cookies in heart shapes, and package two together “Two hearts together forever” could be the note. Another great idea is to package hersheys kisses (you can special order ones with ‘just married’ and ‘i love you’ messages!) in boxes, small bags, tulle, whatever you choose, tie with ribbons matching your wedding colors, and attach a note saying ‘hugs and kisses, from mr. and mrs. jones” or something similar. I like edible favors. You could also design magnets with your photo, or give packets of seasonal seeds for guests to plant, but I prefer edible treats with a heartfelt note.

I had a lot of problems with this myself. I couldn’t decide on what I should give if I should do for men and women or what. I decided however to do bubbles and i also bought little plastic bells and filled with candy and gave out christmas ornaments seeing I had a Christmas in July themed wedding. Good luck and I hope that you have a wonderful time at your wedding just remember its not what you’re giving out but that they are here for your special day

For my favors, I am doing Hershey kisses, I’m doing what’s called “Spoonful of Kisses” I got tulle real cheap from this website and it comes in a TON of colors and different size rolls so you can get just what you need. I got a small roll of each in my colors (apricot and sage… although they had a peach color that was close enough to my apricot so I got that) and I’m going to cut a 6″ or 8″ round piece for each, and you take a plastic spoon (I got white ones) and wrap it with about 5 or 6 kisses, tie it with ribbon and a tag that says “Hugs and Kisses from the Mr. and Mrs.” and then it has our names and wedding date underneath that. Simple!
ANNND I’m having bubble bottles as well… and I got bubbles at Dollar Tree (gotta love that store, lol) $1 for a dozen which is dirt cheap! and I’m getting bubble bottle labels from this seller on eBay and they aren’t real expensive.
I’m doing 150 of each favor (I’m only inviting 150, and most of them probably will show!) and all together it’s going to cost me about $80-90 for ALL of them! Very cheap!

Do you have a theme? I have a theme (beach/ ocean) instead of colors (although there will be sand colors and light pastels), and I am doing a message in a bottle favor with our photo and wedding date on it, filled with sand and shells and with the name of the guest on it, tied with a ribbon.
Can you provide more information? Is your wedding indoor/outdoor? What time of year and time of day will it be? Will it be very large, with tons of guests? You def don’t want to hand-craft every favor if you have 500 guests.

Flower seeds (your favorite kind
in a small capri blue paper box (can buy them at any craft site), tied with an ivory ribbon with a yellow fake flower glued on top. Or box with your monogram on top…Box only has to be 2.5 or 3″ in size. Your girlfriends/wedding party can put them together over a few glasses of wine and some dinner!
Its a great takeaway for people, (they won’t throw it away like most wedding favors) they will remember your day with the flower that grows, and you can stick a personlized note inside.

Here is a great idea for favors/centerpieces all in one.
Buy some ball point pens (REAL cheap with back to school sales)
Artificial flowers in your colors (Michael’s or Hobby Lobby)
Green floral tape
Cut the flowers leaving just about 2 inches of stem. Attach the flower to the pen using the floral tape. Continue to wrap the tape around and down the pen as far as you can.
Get some vases for each table. Fill the vases with the flower pens.
If you want to get fancier, buy silk flowers, add ribbons to each flower, spray with some fine crystal glitter.
I did this for shower held at my house. Everyone said how beautiful the flowers were on the table. They were suprised to find out that those were the favors as well!!!!
